  • Kucinich Locked Out of Texas Primary Over Loyalty Oath
These kind of tactics lock all honest individuals out of the primaries because the whole point of primaries is to filter out Republican or Democratic candidates whom you could not support in the general election. Allowing monopolistic parties to force these kinds of oaths means that there are only two candidates who can run, "Mr. Republican" and "Mr. Democrat", and that their platforms are decided by the elite party members instead of the public.
  • The Top 5 things the powers-that-be do not want you to know!
Thomas Jefferson wrote, "The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty." This article dives into the five biggest misconceptions that lead to the majority of discontentment in our society.
  • Consent of the Governed - The Source of Just Power
We have all heard the phrase that government gets it's just power from the consent of the governed and most would agree that the only alternative to a government based upon consent is a government based upon force.
  • Enforcing the Oath of Office
Have you ever wondered what could be done to enforce the Oath of Office? Can "we the people" start a class action lawsuit? Who really delegated their authority to any politician? In this article I will attempt to tackle some of these questions.
  • 3000 Tyrants One Mile Away
Those of you who have seen The Patriot, may recall Mel Gibsons line at toward the beginning of the movie where he said, "Why should I trade one tyrant 3000 miles away for 3000 tyrants one mile away?" Today, many well-intentioned, freedom-promoting, anti-establishment individuals are ignorantly behaving like the tyrants they oppose.
  • Dennis Kucinich vs MSNBC - A sad day for the rule of law.
I despise the major media outlets as much as the next guy, but I have become all to familiar with cures that are worse than the disease so I like to look deeper. What does this judicial decision really mean? By what authority does the judge order MSNBC to include Dennis? What other authority does a judge have? Based upon this precedent, do candidates have the opportunity to sue MSNBC, Fox, ABC, CNN, etc. if they are unhappy with their treatment at the debate? I ask these questions because no one else has and they have some important implications.
  • Rick Boucher and the Ron Paul Revolution
As a member of the 9th congressional district of Virginia, I am looking for someone to represent everyones interests and not just the interests of the poor or rural communities. Rick Boucher has been in congress for 25 years and it is time for a change. If you know of anyone who supports Ron Paul's constitutional positions and economic policies who could run for congress please consider running. If you would like me to run, let me know and offer your support!
  • Weapons of Mass Delusion
This 30 minute video is a documentary centered around a speech by the head of weapon inspections in Iraq, Scott Ritter. This video brings to light a number of facts that have been erased from the history promoted by the Bush administration and the major media.
  • Bush Signs Gun Bill, one step closer to tyranny
If we accept that the government can decide whether or not we have the right to own a gun based upon a fuzzy definition of sanity then we open the pandoras box of government mandated mental exams as a prerequisite of gun ownership or other natural rights.
  • Let's Have a Real Debate
I keep having the *same* debates in discussion board after discussion board and they never get anywhere. I would like to pose a challenge to everyone out there who disagrees with one or more of Ron Paul's positions. Present your facts, truths and your logic behind them and see if you can win a scored debate. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce a new "Web 2.0" debating website that I just released in beta form, The Daily Moot (dailymoot.com).
  • Do Government Backed Education Loans Really Help?
Most people come to believe that government backed education loans are a good means to make college education available to more people and that it ultimately helps the country, but do these loans really help or are they doing more harm than good?
  • Can we use a Fractional Reserve Tax to Eliminate Other Taxes?
Fractional reserve lending is nothing more than the bank taking on interest free unsecured debt at the expense of their depositors (the public) and then taking a gamble by lending that money to others at interest. This process depends upon government force, so could we eliminate most other taxes by taxing fractional reserve lending?
  • Ron Paul unlikely to win in a 3-way race.
In the interest of playing out a what-if scenario I would like to consider the situation that Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination AND the establishment Republicans decide to run their candidate as well. Alternatively, what-if Ron Paul loses the Republican nomination and decides to run as an independent? Even with a plurality victory in the electoral college, Congress would likely select an establishment candidate over Ron Paul.
  • Ron Paul and Evolution
Does disagreeing with evolution prove you are illogical, stupid, or unwilling to accept facts? Has Ron Paul shown mental weakness by disagreeing with evolution? If you pride yourself on thinking logically and having an open mind, then you should read this article before condemning Ron Paul and others for disagreeing with The Theory of Evolution.
  • Ron Paul and Abortion
Uniting the country on the abortion issue may seem impossible, but I believe that Ron Paul's support of natural rights is the key. Ron Paul's stance on abortion is more often than not misunderstood by both the pro-life and the pro-choice groups. This article explains how the rights of the mother to choose and the baby to live can be resolved to the satisfaction of the vast majority and how it is consistent with all of Ron Paul's stances. It also shows the hypocrisy of both the democrat and republican platforms.
  • Abortion - Bring them out Alive
The laws that deal with turning off life support for the old or critically injured should be applied to abortion. If you support universal healthcare to tax Peter to care for Paul, then you must support taxing Mrs. Peter to provide "universal" healthcare to baby Paula. If you are for free markets in medical care then you are "pro choice" and cannot force the mother to provide care for her unborn. And most people agree that a 3rd party killing the unborn is murder, so no one may intentionally kill the unborn.
  • Is the income tax necessary?
Ron Paul doesn't care what it costs to remove the income tax because you cannot put a price on freedom! These United States operated for over 130 years and fought many wars without the income tax. It does not matter how much money the government wants or how much money it thinks it "needs", what matters is how the money is collected.
  • Real Education Reform
"To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical", said Thomas Jefferson. If we don't want others deciding the curriculum for our children, then we should not attempt to mandate the curriculum for others.
  • Wealth, Power, and Robin Hood
We have a wealth imbalance in this country and we need to institute a new government program to transfer wealth from the rich to the poor. Which is worth more money or power? Who will play Robin Hood to take power from the powerful and give it to the powerless?
  • Do you have a Debt or Obligation to Society?
Does the average man owe a debt to his society? I have had many conversations with individuals about the income tax, property tax, inflation tax, and the draft. All of these things depend upon the assumption that society or government owns or is owed all of the labor, property, and life of its citizens.
  • Mike Huckabee vs. Ron Paul, who should a christian vote for?
Who would Jesus vote for? Who is more obedient to God's commands? Is Ron Paul a heathen or is Huckabee a modern day pharisee? While many Ron Paul supporters argue with human philosophy, Huckabee supporters often argue with bible verses. This article is for christians and non-christians who wish to use the bible to argue for or against Huckabee and Ron Paul with their christian friends.
  • The Christian Political Position
How can a Christian decide who to vote for or what government programs to support or condemn? This article applies the teachings of Jesus to debunk the most common assumption about the "christian" cause in government; namely, teaching creationism, outlawing pornography, outlawing drugs, preventing gay marriage, and helping the poor and elderly. [This article has been superseded by a new article on Christian Politics. This article still contains my initial thoughts, but is very rough and disorganized.]
  • Illegal Regulation by Taxation (or income tax exemption)
This article takes an interesting perspective on how Congress can and does abuse its powers of taxation to reglate that which it has no power to regulate! Specifically, income tax "exemptions" are simply a means to regulate or apply preasure on society in ways that the government could not otherwise pass laws.
  • Separation of Party and State
What is a political party? What is a religion? Is there any real difference between them? Perhaps we should consider an amendment regarding separation of Party and State.
  • Is Privatization of Social Security a good idea?
The privatization of social security is one of the major ideas proposed to solve long-term social security solvency. Whether or not this is a good idea depends upon who you talk to. Many arguments for or against social security plans make an appeal to emotion rather than presenting compelling logic. This article will attempt to present a logical analysis of the various social security privatization ideas.
