Ron Paul Voters Dispite Government Income Loss
21% of Ron Paul supporters voted for him dispite a likely loss of personal income due to his proposed cuts in government spending. This figure is important because it gives us an idea of people's willingness to vote for policies that are best for our country over those that are best for themselves.
Voter Comments
Although my husband is an employee of the federal government, I believe it selfish to vote considering only one's personal gain or loss in an election. There has been too much of that in past elections. I will be voting for Ron Paul for the good of the country, regardless of the personal implications to me and my family.
America Needs A Gynecologist. Not More Bush.
there is no reason beyond that of a america that is actually controlled by the government(not the other way around) that this canidate isnt the front runner.Every stance he takes is the concensus amongst the typical american.Paul would be a great president and if he wasnt stopped by congress would accomplish much...to go down as one of the greatest presidents ever...Thing is if he was president he'd make the north american alliance a tricky trick for the next president to pull off...(he'd also delay this plan)...illuminati will all burn in hell

Ron Paul the only hope for American and the world.
RON PAUL FOR OUR LEADER
i am human, this is the only time im voting. I support ron paul
Ron Paul, I already voted for him in the primary. He is the best candidate for the economic future of this country. While others are looking to save the economy by spending more money and expanding government agencies Ron Paul offers the people a real sound solution to our outrageous national debt. I voted for Ron Paul, and though he may not win this time, his message will resonate far and wide. This is the change this country needs and it will be realized in my life time.
I feel it is necessary to elect Dr. Ron Paul as President in 2008. No other candidate champions the Constitution with the same fervor and diligence as he. He appears to be the only candidate who has come to terms with the fact that our economy is crumbling and cannot be saved by MORE government spending. He is the only candidate who has realized the problems and implications of our imperialist empire, and the only one willing to end them. My second choice will be the candidate selected by the Libertarian Party, though I am not currently affiliated with that or any other political party. To date I have given a mere twenty five dollars(college and living on my own come with monetary limitations)to the Ron Paul campaign. When I am able to, I will certainly give more to the good Doctor's cause. I have never donated before this election nor voted in a primary because I only turned eighteen nine months ago, but I fully intend to vote and continue donating to whichever candidate follows the advice of our Founding Fathers and supports limited government and individual freedom. Thanks for your Time, Jeff Musselman
Ron Paul is the best chance we have to get America back to the roots and basics our country was founded on.
No amount of personal gain could ever buy me off to vote in a treasonous manner. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate.
The message is true and the only one I will vote for. Live-and-let-Live.
I am in agreement with many of Ron Paul's positions: no on Patriot Act, no on Iraq War, but also no on federal gun control and no on big government (taxes). He is my kind of candidate and I hope he is given a chance to truly change this country.
Having voted previously for Ralph Nader I support candidates who are strong in their convictions and are not swayed by lobbyists or other politicians.
It takes blinders not to see what big business and big government are doing.Yet many folks choose to ignore the glaring reality of these basically criminal activities. Only Paul isn't in their pocket. I fear that the election will be compromised by these interests, who have a lot to lose. Bush is over there right now trying to start another war for profits. God help us.
America is not a country by itself, but we have lost our way. Before the early 1900's our country was reffered to as a collective of independant states acting in agreement in international affairs. The federal government has since stripped many of our freedoms through unconstitutional acts and powerful excecutive orders. Anyone who thinks that the government can or should take care better than you or your family needs a wake up call. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for the Constitution. Amen.
Im praying for a big michigan upset.
I believe that Ron Paul best represents the policies and values that I believe.
I have not voted in a major party primary for 20 years. Ron Paul is the only reason I will do so this year.
the media is LYING!
Ron Paul is the only candidate concerned about the destruction of the value of the dollar via inflation and credit expansion.
I always vote for the man,(PERSON)not the party. Not impressed with this primary, or should I say its choices. Ron Paul stands alone, he just scares people a little. I wonder if there is time to educate the public before its to late!
Ron Paul is the only viable candidate in either party. The two-party system itself is the basis of all our problems. Can you say C O N S T I T U T I O N? The two party system continues to bankrupt our country with unConstitutional wars. Only Congress has the power to DECLARE war. I have voted Repuberal in the past, but never again if out of a population of 300 million plus Romney, McCain, Thompson and some goofy-eyed mayor of New York are the best we can posit. RON PAUL is the only one who even knows what the CONSTITUTION is. Can you say CONSTITUTIONALIST?
I really think Ron Paul is doing everything right. I love his plan to prevent illegal immigration, he seems to be one of the only ones that has a good stance, and I love how he wants to stick to the constitution. He is exactly what our country needs right now and I really hope that he wins, if not I truly am worried for our country and whose hands it may end up in.
I care very much for my adopted country, the USA, and the reason is because of it's foundational document, the Constitution which our leaders should consistently uphold as they swear to do when they take office. Congressman Ron Paul has shown the most integrity in doing this, and has a good grasp of and how to solve what is ailing the USA today.
I do not consider myself extremist in any way, but America is continually weakening its position globally and needs a president like Ron Paul to help restore its economy and reputation as a beacon for freedom in the world.
protect your rights under the constitution vote for ron paul
Ron Paul is the only candidate who will treat other countries with respect and allow all Americans to live their lives with minimum government interference.
Contrary to all pervasive media approved popular ideas, our beloved Republic's Constitution is even more critical to our freedom today than it has ever been.
Ron Paul is the only candidate for America that is not bought and paid for by special interest. The media in America is bought and paid for by special interest and the New World Order. Watch Zeitgeist on YouTube.com or Check out Endgame and understand why Ron Paul is the only option for America.
He is the only sincere candidate in the race on either side. We need to take America back to true constitutional standards and he is the only one really advocating that. But alas, America has become a nation of sheep, being led by people with self serving agendas and that is why a real candidate with serious consequnces won't get elected. It would take down too many of the powers that be.
Revolution--I'm from Canada and am very happy to see what's going on down there.
I certainly don't agree with everything Dr. Ron Paul says, however, his views of Monetary/Tax/Fiscal Responsibility, eliminating the income tax and IRS, eliminating the FED, opposition to the Real ID Act, Patriot Act, Military Commission Act, letting younger workers opt out of Social Security, paying Social Security to the people that have already paid into it, is enough for me. I believe his views on Foreign Alliances is a little dated and unsure of his views on healthcare are correct. Also not quit sure the Gold Standard is prudent. Also I believe Medicare for the elderly is a moral act of compassion and he would have to convince me otherwise. I voting for him in the primary because he is the only candidate shooting straight with us. If by some miracle he won the Primary, I'm not sure I would vote for him in the General Election. However it doesn't matter because the Democrat Candidate would be the same shill for the Corporate/Big Business/Wall Street interest as a mainsuck Republican Candidate. At least we could finally have a good debate between two opposing philosophy's for once.
Vote Ron Paul 2008 for Republican and everyone else, and Barack if you HAVE to vote Dem.
I believe in all of Dr. Paul's views. I am 37 years old and this is my first year voting. Recently I have become very concerned about the future of our great nation. I have done a lot of research and stumbled across Ron Paul on a Google interview. It peaked my interest so I started doing some research and began to find "quickly" how much trouble our country is in. I work for a federal agency and could possibly lose my job if Ron Paul is voted President and decides to privatize my employer. However. It's a very small price to pay to have a "Leader" in office that can turn this country around for the better. If Ron Paul can do what he says, I would have no problem finding another job if he privatizes my current employer. Concerned Texan.
I am well read. I am well educated. I was NOT going to vote in 2008 because there was no one to vote for. Then Ron Paul came along. At least now I can vote my conscience. I will vote Ron Paul regardless. At least I can say I tried. I gave money. I am going to put up signs. But it may already be too late to save the United States of America. It's a shame, but all good things must come to an end. I just didn't want to be around to see it.
He speaks truth.
I was searching for a candidate who will secure our borders and coasts and make employers obey the law and punish lawbreakers who hire and provide sanctuary for illegal aliens. How can we teach our children to obey our laws when our government scoffs its' own laws? None of the Democrats are listening to the ground swell of citizens who oppose amnesty to illegal aliens, most of the Republicans hold the same position. Even our President is a scoff-law. I long for a return to the rule of law and to the principles embedded in our Constitution. Ron Paul is a Congressman who votes his conscience, each and every time. How refreshing. How American.
I support Ron Paul and would like to see him be our President.
Ron Paul is, in my opinion, the LAST hope for America. The idea that was the United States is all but gone.
Sound money, free market Austrian economics is right for the country. No other candidate touches on the truths of how politicians use & manipulate the system knowing that eventually they will hurt the economy & middle class through printing more money, artificial low interest rates & so on. Ron Paul has the people's interest, not self-interest which is why he has my support.
I hear candidates say "We need change". Once they get into office, what they really mean is "how can we make changes to benefit ourselves"?. They completely disregard what WE THE PEOPLE want. By electing them, we have given them a license to do what they want with the AMERICAN PEOPLE. I believe when Ron Paul says "we need change", he is not talking about change for himself, but for WE THE PEOPLE. The government has become a runaway train. Someone has to stop it. Thank you Ron Paul, And thank you GOD. Ron Paul you have my vote.
I want our troops out of Iraq, I want Bush/Cheney impeached, and I want a president that will tell it like it is.
Small government, Constitution, less federal government interference in my life, protecting private property rights, getting rid of the Patriot Act, stop policing the world, fix our monetary system. Need I say more?
Ron Paul is the only candidate that will try to remove the Federal Reserve. We NEED him as a leader in this lost country.
Ive been in mortgages for the past 7 years, watching as every american has suffered from the weaker dollar, the credit bubble born in the 90's and now the mortgage crisis that was also driven by the feds 1% funds rate for several years in the past 10 years. I never dreamed in all my life that we would actually have a vote to cast that would remove the parasitic system (The FED) from our economic system. All of the rest of Ron Pauls views are dead on also (foreign policy, imagration, IRS and cutting big goverment). PRAY FOR RON PAUL! He has given me both renewed faith in god, as well as the USA!
FOX News, The Federal Reserve Boad, The CFR and the Bush Propoganda Machine must be scared to death of the Ron Paul Revolution. Fox doesn’t realize the censorship of Ron Paul only fans the flames. America hasn't seen a grass-roots effort like this since Gene McCarthy in the 60s.
Dr. Ron Paul has the most logical plan of action with the credentials to back it up (Ludwig Von Mises Institute).
we need ron paul in the white house. i want to keep my income, not spend it in iraq or iran blowing everything up and then rebuilding it. plus it is time to take our freedoms back, and it sure will be easier with ron paul helping us. but either way, the revolution goes on !
It is time for to return to the values and policies that have placed America in our powerful and dignified global position before our current values and policies deteriorate it. I don't agree 100% with all of Dr. Paul's ideas, but his core beliefs resonate with me strongly. I feel that he is somewhat radical, but that radicalism would be tempered by the voice of the American people, whom he respects, and old Washington. We can't expect that we put the same types of candidates through the same process and expect "change". I think the word revolution is causing some confusion in his message. This isn't a plan for a violent overthrow of the powers that be. This message is a direction we can come together and strive for. Since the campaign run up, I have been studying the plans and philosophies of all candidates. Dr. Paul's are complex and require thoughtful analysis. I am not ashamed to admit I relied on the advice and tutoring of constitutional scholars and economists to parse it out for me. However, over the past handful of administrations we have created a complex problem which require complex solutions. It is hard to understand the viability of his message without research, but it is worth the effort. Regardless of a person's political preference. Please dig deeper than the sound bytes and rhetoric. I don't want you to vote for Ron Paul, I want to, but I want you to vote based on the result of your own critical thinking process. And, lets remember this in one country, and a great one at that, filled with a broad spectrum of great Americans from all philosophies and beliefs.
I am most attracted to Paul's insistence on ending the wars our government is waging on our people and others. I feel like if he is elected I may be able to regain confidence in this country.
Historically I have not been too terribly interested in politics. Though I have always found it important to keep informed and educated as to what is going on in our government as well as the rest of the world. Politics has always seemed such a sham. That is, until the first time I heard Dr. Ron Paul speak. It had a profound and lasting affect on me. Even now, over a year later, I often cry while watching videos or reading articles/blogs/emails about him and his supporters. I know that I am not alone. There are so many that believe this man, and will to the bitter end. People are waking up, beginning to realize that this country is sick. There is a cure. There is a Doctor.
anti war
It is immoral to take from one to give to another and then assume credit for benificense. We will only be a great country when individual responsibility is valued.
Ron Paul is the only honest one
I'm on a fixed income (semi-retired) but I have studiously researched where this country is headed and I don't like what I see. I believe Ron Paul knows whereof he speaks, and what he says is not at the behest of the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission or the Council on Foreign Relations! These latter have threatened to assassinate Ron Paul. What does that tell you?
Ron Paul wants to decrease the reach and intrusiveness of the Federal Government's role in our day to day lives. He believes, as did the framers of our Constitution, that the Federal government should not "have the power" rather, the power belongs to the people and the responsibility for the making of laws should be at the local/state level.
I really wish they would talk more about Ron Paul in the media.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who seems to KNOW what he is talking about. He actually wants to improve the people's situation, not his own.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that would not be shunned and scolded by the founding fathers. Doesn't get any simpler than that!
ron paul: not more of the same.
I SIMPLY LIKE THE THINGS THAT RON PAUL PROMISES. HE SEEMS TO BE GENUINE, AND DOESN'T TALK LIKE MOST POLITICIANS, WHO DON'T ANSWER QUESTIONS STRAIGHT OUT.
out of Iraq ASAP
The US spends more money on milirtay (600+ billion) than the rest of the world put together. No reasonable person could possibly say thats how a democratic society should behave
My comments would only resemble everybody else's. I'm sick and tired of MSM and Big Government. Something needs to be done. The middle class is being eliminated.
This is the year of the constitution. In 2008, constitutional popularity will reach critical mass.
i don't have to explain myself ...its self explainatory ....du!
I love Ron Paul he is a champion of the constituition and my personal hero. I intended to vote for Obama since he seemed to be the only one who might not be a robot, but after 30 sec of hearing Ron Paul in the debate and I was jumping up and down in my living room calling all my friends.
RON PAUL REVOLUTION!!!!
Go Ron Paul
If Paul isn't elected we are doomed. Goodbye Constitutional America, hello one world tyranny. I pray America wakes up and stops listening to the "news" and starts listening to their hearts.
Ron Paul is the best candidate by far on everything from foreign policy and Iraq to Monetary Policy and the borders. I will be voting in the primaries for Ron Paul. If he does not get the nomination, I don't know what I'll do in the General Election. We'll have to wait and see. Thanks.
I have also been registered as a democrat and then an independent in the past. I changed my registration solely to vote for Dr. Paul.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that believes that citizens are responsible for their own actions.
I would love to see ron paul as our president but wonder what kind of chance he will have at getting the nomination. I dont think the neocons would like that.
As a libertarian, I must say Ron Paul has the most in common with my affiliated party. However, my ideal choice among the Libertarian candidates is Wayne Root.
I have never gotten involved in politics at the primary level. I have never donated to a candidate before in my life. This year I donated to Ron Paul's campaign. I live in NJ so voting in a primary doesn't matter by the time it gets to my state, but if it did, i'd register republican to vote for Ron Paul.
i found this searching for poll results on Ron Paul
my second choice being mcain, is soley for benifate to az, and personal experiance with his excelnt staff.
Limited government and liberty are two basic tenets that our founding fathers fought for. The revolution started because Britain was imposing taxes and tariffs on the colonists in order to fill their coffers again after the drawn out and expensive French & Indian War - which the colonists helped the Brits win! History is about to repeat itself - unless we learn from our lessons and reverse the trend. Ron Paul gets it, unlike any other presidential candidate in any party. This is the best chance we have, and may ever have again. Every single American should take a long, hard look at the truth of the words spoken by Ron Paul and not let a bunch of biased, self serving media and political candidates deceive you.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that will truly uphold the constitution!
Since Kusinich wasn't listed, I put Ron Paul. I wasn't going to put 'Other' for my first choice.
I checked that Ron Paul will have an effect on my income because I might actually get to keep it!
This isn't about politics. This is about trust. Without trust there is no Republic.
Gravel and Paul are the only logical choices for non-brainwashed people.
I believe affliating with Democrats or Republicans gives the "Professional Politicians" a free reign to do as they please. I will vote for the candidate not any party. They are all crooks, anyways. I'm just trying to chose the lesser evil. JMHO.
Ron Paul is the only one I support for president - no others.
I am not required to declare any party affiliation when registering to vote (Texas), however, I have tended towards Republican candidates with a strong Independent streak (and have been known to support Democrats).
I am a constitutionalist and believe that we have strayed from our roots. I want small, local governments and small federal govt.
Ron Paul for President. He will restore our liberties and save our country from financial ruin.
Its common sense, Ron Paul is the only one, with a head on his shoulders, the only one out there pushing for what matters most in order to put this country back on track and reinstall our lost freedoms.
I'm trying to see some information that I do not already know.
It is called the constitution
I believe Ron Paul is the only candidate I can trust to do the right things for our country.
I believe Ron Paul is the best man for the job, He believes in our country, and believes that it should be the way our Founding Fathers intended it to be, unlike the many others who came before him, Who collectvely bastardized our Constitution, to the point that today, it is almost trivial. The Constitution was written by men with a vision for a country that was truly FREE, I belive Ron Paul realizes that vision & wants to re-build this country back to what it was meant to be. I haven't voted , or registered to vote in many, many years. Mostly because I haven't found anyone worthy of my vote.....Now I have, And I WILL be voting this election, For Ron Paul !! Thank You.
I am fourty years old. Ron Paul is the first politician I have ever liked!
Respecting Constitutional parameters should be the basis of all government action and legislation. A 50% tax rate, ongoing gargantuan government growth, extreme pandering through entitlement programs, and eroded civil liberties make Dr. Paul's principled stands and voting record very attractive. Our massive illegal immigration amply demonstrates the federal government's disdain for existing federal law. Most of the electorate feels that the electoral process is a waste of their time, hence the government cannot represent the people. Dr. Paul's fundraising results have already attracted the attention of money hungry politicians. Hopefully they will gradually emulate his message. God Bless Dr. and Mrs. Paul and his family for their sacrifice to turn the direction of our country. I have never heard any criticism of him should be based on the Constitution.
I can imagine candidates that would be better (much better) than Ron Paul, but none of them have ever run for president or even seriously considered doing so.
Ron Paul wants the government to follow the rules(constitution). That is why I support him. I am fed up with our RULERS getting away with slander, theft, murder, and treason.
One man is not a cure-all, but I believe a Paul presidency would be a significant step back (yes, I said "back") in the right direction -- toward limited government within the restraints of the Constitution as originally intended.
Ron Paul is the candidate who represents my views of non intervention abroad and a smaller role of the federal government
I DIDNT VOTE IN ANY OTHER ELECTION, WOULD HAVE LIKED GORE AND KERRY IN THE LAST TWO. RON PAUL MOTIVATED ME AND HAS ME EXCITED ABOUT DEMOCRACY!
We need to return to the values and ideals this country was based upon!
Finally a candidate who wants the government out of my home and out of my wallet, to good to be true? nope, just Dr. Paul
Ron Paul is our only hope of achieving some semblance of responsibility for ourselves.
WE need to elect a person who is not a talking head for the demoblicans. Dr. Paul is the only person who can bring America back to America.
I have been a republican for many years. As the republican party has moved from its roots and is forming larger and larger government with an ever increasing presence over seas and involvement in the afairs of other countries I have begun moving to the libritarian party. Ron Paul brings the true republican beliefs back to the party. I will support his run president. If he does not get the nomination then I will search for a candidate either in the republican party or outside the party.
Ron Paul needs to drop out of the race.
It's the only logical way to save America -- cut government spending.
I am a business owner with 12 employees. One of these employees is nearly full-time dedicated to taxes and government paperwork. Vote Ron Paul.
The candidate that is toughest and least compassionate with illegals gets my vote. The candidate that seeks to deny licences, benefits, subsidies, medical coverage, education and amnesty to illegals gets my vote. Do I sound passionate about this? How could I not be. I lived and worked in So Calif, and East Los Angeles for 35 years and I know what I'm talking about.
I'm a firm believer that the Constitution is the law of the land for all of us from our CINC on down.
I work in Aerospace for a defense contractor. A cut in big government spending could drastically reduce my work options or even cause me to lose my job. However, we must all make sacrifices to do what needs to be done for the benefit of our nation. Getting out of debt will take sacrifices from millions of Americans. If we are all willing to work a little harder and give up a few conveniences, we can turn this nation around, reduce the size of our federal government and give the power back to the people.
I finally have a chance to vote for someone that is agreeable with my principles, instead of voting for the lesser of two evils, which had only lead to more evil.
There is a huge and growing majority that is sick and tired of politics as usual. They see our country being mismanaged by incompetant career politicians and are wanting change now.
You may post my data.
Love the loaded Ron Paul question at the bottom. The majority of citizens will not care about government contractors. They have inflated their services for years. Citizens of these United States need an immediate turn around in solid thinking for economic benefit. Wall street will sell us out if RP is in office. This will bring about the greatest change this country has seen. Those americans who sell us out will be exposed and never conduct their operations in the same fashion. Coming in on a weak dollar is the greatest thing he could do for this country. If we end the fed, all central banking nations of the BIS will be exposed for what it is.
Ron Paul is the best choice for president because he is a real anti-war candidate and also supports personal liberties.
go ron paul
I am a two time Iraq Veteran, I am a disabled veteran. I strongly support him and his mssage. To me he is my new hero. I am also planning to leave my hometown for a few days to join the Dr. Paul supporters in Iowa. If he does not win I will leave this country, if he does win but doesn't get a fair election I will be storming capitol hill with all the other protestors who know that Ron Paul is the only answer for this BushCrappy country.
The US Government needs to return to the people and not special interests.
There is only one sane choice for President.
Ron Paul is the best candidate for the 2008 election!!!!!
I think this a fantastic poll for showing real support. Thanks for the integrity.
Go Ron Go!
We have tolerated big government for too long; The founders are rolling in their graves. It is time for the United States to return to her roots. "Business-as-usual" and politics-as-usual are going to kill this nation if we do not do something now. Strengthen our economy, strengthen our military, save our country! Vote Ron Paul in 2008!
So far Ron Paul seems like the least crazy optiont we have to choose from.
Go Ron Paul, take this country back
I registered Republican specifically to vote for Ron Paul. I want a return to legal and political respect of the Constitution, an end to pre-emptive wars, and to stop dead in the tracks the federal encroachment into our lives under the banner of "security." Prisoners in solitary confinement are the most secure in America -- I'll happily take a bit of insecurity, thank you.
ron paul is the only candidate that refuses to play games to get votes.
The only other money I have ever sent a candidate was $1000 in 1976 to Ronald Reagan because he said "government is the problem, not the solution". That year my total income was $13,000.00. I kept that fact from my wife because she just could not understand the value of liberty. I am 57 years young. I have waited my entire life to campaign hard for exactly what I want and have not voted for the lesser of two evils, which is still evil, since 1988. I have and will give all the time and energy that I can to the great constitutionalist, our next President, DR.Ron Paul. Should he fail to gain the Republican nomination, I will write him in. I will never, ever again vote for that which I do not want. Ed Croker
Small government. Balancing the budget. Saving our dollar. Reducing international military presence. Strengthening local decision-making structures. We need Ron Paul in 2008. (Paul/Kucinich for green! We should recognize the real problems we face with global warming and encourage smart green investment! Investing green is profitable!)
There is really only ONE candidate that is speaking the truth and not sounding like the same old lies we've been told. The ONE that did not vote for this so called WAR, it is an invasion, (it was not declared pursuant to the instructoons of OUR CONSTITUTION). There is ONE candidate that is for small Government and giving Americans back their civil liberties. There is ONE candidate that did not vote for The Patriot Act" (The Devils Act, is more like it). WAKE UP AMERICA. LISTEN to what these candidates are saying. Do you want the same old lies and will sit back and allow our United States of America be taken over by the UN. We are already fighting THEIR WAR with our money that we reaaly do not have. Borrowing more and more and more and more from CHINA!!!!! Everyday. Our country will be slaves of CHINA if you all do not WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! There is ONE candidate that stands out as a "dark horse" but he will bring America back on her feet and will make Americans proud to be an American but not through the barrel of a gun. Not through pushing our believes and policing the world. We are not an Empire and George is not our King............YET!!!!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!! FREEDOM IS POPULAR and there is a REVLOUTION brewing. There is ONE candidate that is the ONE.
Go Ron Paul!!!
A large percentage of us Soldiers are, or lean, Libertarian. We voluntarily give up most of our personal freedoms for a period of time to defend this great nation, and then we wish to go back into private life to be left alone. It is not Dr. Paul's stance on the war that has energized the military, but the fact he actually takes his oath to uphold the Constitution as seriously as we do.
I believe in what Ron Paul stands for. I think he can get the country back on the right track.
Ron Paul stands for the Constitution. The rest stand for laws that circumvent liberty for some feeling of security. Everyone but Paul supported the USA PATRIOT act and the USA PATRIOT II act which I call the "Alien and Sedition acts of 1999 and 2004".
The major polls that are on TV and from the major networks are all phony.
I do not care if I can no longer steal from other people through the government
In the past, a vote for red or blue only kept the status quo. Ron Paul is the change I've been seeking. Finally a revolt I will support with everything I own, including my life!!!
I switched my Voter registration from Democrat to Republican earlier this year. I will be voting for Ron Paul in the Colorado Republican Primary. I will NOT vote for any other Presidential candidate. I will ONLY be voting for Ron Paul for President in 2008 even if I have to write his name in.
Down with the National ID Card and the Amero.
It's about the message, not the messenger. No other candidate gets it.
I appreciate a candidate who says what he or she stands for rather than one who says what he thinks I want to hear.
Do you financially benefit from big government?? Why even include a Ron Paul bashing question if your not going to include something about corruption for every other candidate? At least Ron Paul is principaled and thats the premise behind cutting excessive government paychecks and I work for the government!
I am a socially liberal, fiscally conservative-minded person. Ron Paul is the best fit for my views. I believe the government cannot spend my money better than I can and should not be in the business of charity - that should be left to private, caring individuals.
I support Ron Paul because he represents neither the traditional republican nor democratic platforms. Finally there is a candidate who breaks the mold of the two-party system. Even if I didn't support Paul's policy (but I do), I would pay attention to this man. What our political system needs most right now is the breakdown of the exclusive two-party system, and Ron Paul is the man to start the process.
Ron Paul is our salvation...Our country will not exsist if we continue down the path of corruption.
We are at a very crucial point in our history, and the majority of Americans view our current position domestically and abroad to be heading in the wrong direction. Ron Paul is the only candidate who wants to truly set the country back on track. A vote for any other candidate is more or less "a vote for more of the same." Quite simply, Ron Paul wants us to return to the principles of liberty which once made this nation so successful. Unlike the other candidates, he is actually honest and transparent about his plans for the country, plans that were endorsed and implemented by our founders in expectation that they would be upheld for years to come. The guiding principles of liberty and small federal government are not unique to one era or period of time. THESE PRINCIPLES ARE TIMELESS -- this is what places the United States above all other countries. In order to form a more perfect union, the states have made an agreement in which they -- the states -- remain sovereign. And for the states to forfeit their sovereignty -- a point which we are reaching today -- violates the Constitution, and is the primary reason for our troubles today. Support the man who truly loves his country more than himself. Let us restore liberty to the people! Support Ron Paul!
Finally a real person is running for President. I am so sick and tired of robotic, bureaucratic phonies. Vote Ron Paul!!!!
I consider myself a conservative independent. I have voted for republicans and democrats. I truly believe that Ron Paul has the message that America needs to hear and the track record to do as he says. I know it will be tough for him as an individual because the democrats and his own party will spend like mad and drag his name through the mud. We need someone like him now just as we needed Ronald Reagan in the 80's. Let's roll up our sleeves and do the work to get this man elected!
It is important for us to change our government so that it does not simply cater to those who have the most money. Ron Paul seems to care more about people than the interest groups.
I wonder if reporting the news will ever return instead of spinning the news. There is a fine line between propaganda and news. Seems that it is crossed on a regular basis in our modern media and many times is based on agendas instead of the truth. Slavery is suppose to be dead. Go Ron Paul if you are tired of being a slave to the government and paying 50% of your devalued pay dollars to the tax base to simply pay off the national debt that you had no say so in creating because the supposedly elected officials were put in power by defective or rigged voting machines and an illegal federal reserve without oversight was put in place under questionable circumstances. Awful funny too that the exit polls and the real polls are so close in these elections. Makes you wonder if they were predetermined. Thought they were suppose to work for us and not the other way around. When has that ever been the case? Maybe there is a chance now with Ron Paul which is why he is popular. I for one am sick and tired of it. Go figure. Go Ron Paul
I have yet so far not heard any part of Ron Pauls campaign that I have not totally agreed with. He is this generations John F. Kennedy. Imagine! A man out-raising funds from just individual americans and not the corporations. I can't imagine the backlash of the american people if the corporation funded candidates win against an american funded candidate. If this is truly supposed to be a governement for the people by the people then I can only hope our voting process has not become so corrupt as to block the peoples choice in this matter.
Ron Paul is the first and only political candidate I would support. Ever. I support Ron Paul for president. Failing that, I support the violent overthrow of what passes for U.S. government these days.
For the first time in my lifetime the american people can take back our freedams. Go Ron Paul
Any thinking American that does a little homework would be out of their minds to vote for anyone other than Dr. Ron Paul. He is a TRUE patriot. I have followed his political life for 2 decades. He has NEVER changed his position on a single subject. I am proud to be a Paulie Girl!
I am for low taxes and ending the war... restoring the image abroad is important to me and Paul and Obama are the top two who can do that (in my view)
You are willing to take an oath you need to keep it. The constitution is the law of the land and congressmen, the executive branch and the judiciary need to be honoring their oath. Ron Paul honors his oath. Most everything the federal government does is against the constitution and it is lawbreaking at its conception.
Ron Paul is a true conservative that best embodies the beliefs of our founding fathers. VT
I hate Hillary. Ron Paul almost never studders in his debates proving one thing....even if he is wrong or you do not agree with him, he is consistent. Can't say that about the others.
Ron Paul...Only hope that we have left.
Dr. Paul is the only truly effecitive choice in the 2008 campaign and I'm proud to support him. Other candidates have ways of manipulating taxes by charging some people more to have others pay less. Dr. Paul will start a revolution.
Ron paul is an old school president that is concerned about the US first, foreign policy last
Ron Paul is our last hope.
I have changed my registration to Republican from unenrolled in order to vote for Ron Paul. I generally have supported Libertarian candidates in the past. I'm 58 years old, so I have had many chances to vote in primaries, but have rarely done so.
I've been hoping that he would run again for some time.
Ron Paul seems like the only candidate that speaks his mind regardless of opinion polls. Today's gov't is in the control of people buying votes based on opinion polls.
Ron Paul is the man who will change America for the better. His views on liberty, equality, justice benefit the American people. His message reaches out to all who believe in America, regardless of race, gender, or political affiliation.
I support Ron Paul mostly due to his desire to abolish the IRS.
I love Ron Paul if I was a girl...
RON PAUL REVOLUTION !
I want some honesty and someone who will follow through with scaling back government
I spammed 18 million dollars into Ron Paul's coffers this quarter. I'm that guy.
C'mon people, let's face it, our nations: status, finances, military, and honor are spreading thin. This current war is a horrible travesty that has been distracting us while governing official pass legislation that is killing us as a nation. The tyrants are quietly putting a choke hold on the American people. It's time to turn the TV off, get informed and stand with Ron Paul. For our own sakes, for the sake of our children for the sake of the Sovereignty of the United States of America. We must return to our constitutional foundation. Sincerly The Patriot
Ron Paul is the only guy who isn't fake or pandering. He also is the only guy who's whole platform is American and makes sense
Return America to the people. I am 66 and Ron Paul is our best hope ithe last 60 years.
RON PAUL WILL RE-INSTATE THE CONSTITUTION
Advocates constitutional policy.
Ron Paul is not left or right, he's just about truth, justice and the American way.
Go RON PAUL!
I am also against Big Government seeing as how our founding fathers were against it. We can't just let the government keep on taking away our rights or taxing us as they police around the world. We are losing more and more American lives over our foreign policy and something about that just doesn't seem right. Ron Paul seems like the kind of guy we've been waiting for who will make the changes necessary to reach these goals.
I have been a democrat until this election cycle. I campaigned for Gore and Howard Dean. I did not participate in mid-term elections until 2006, when I voted a straight party line. I switched parties so that I could vote for Ron Paul. I do not have a land-line telephone, and have not had one in my entire adult life (29 years old).
ron paul is the only hope for america
As of five days ago, I never even knew who Ron Paul was. My friend from New York told me about him, and we began researching his videos, website, and what he stood for. I am 26 years old, a Marine Corps Combat Veteran, and have never even previously registered to vote. Now, after seeing what Mr. Paul is standing up for (end war, abolish IRS & taxes, no national ID Card, legalize marijuana...etc), I submitted my application to become a voter, just so I can vote for him. We are very thankful to have someone like him running for Presidency. Also, for the first time, I just donated to his campaign. He can out-debate, out-think, and out-smart any of the other nominees. He is the only person who is truly and honestly running to serve the people!!! One suggestion though--perhaps a more aggressive approach is needed by his support staff. People I know have never heard of him, yet. Rest assured, I am passing the word to everyone I know. Every single person can make a difference---just look at me--a few days ago I never knew of you, but now, I just want to spread the word. This country is rotting of greed and scandals of all the other politicians. This country needs a revolution! I can't believe it took me this long to realize this.
There is a major imbalance in the government today. There even seems to be a silent civil war at the federal level. Ron Paul is the only canidate that isint the same old "pick your poison" run of the mill canidate. He's the only one that stands for everything I do. He is the one that will bring back balance and give America back to America.
Revolution
Can you hear us now?
I see no reason why the entire country should not vote for Ron Paul.
Fox news and mainstream outlets will learn that underhanded, blatant tactics geared to sway people's opinion on major issues is not going un-noticed. Dr. Paul adhered to the Hippocratic Oath as a physician, there should be a similar standard for mass-media. Dr. Paul for President!
I intend to vote for Ron Paul because he seems to be honest and intends to do what he promises. I have studied economics and the Federal Reserve and find the system to be built on iniquity, it hurts the poor and middle-class and benefits only the rich. Sound money along with a smaller government is what I care most about. If I new of a country that truly sought freedom that is what it would have.
If not for Ron Paul, I would not vote this time.
Ron Paul seems to be working on facts and common sense, a basic set of rules. Others seem to exploit religion and feelings to win voters.
Common sense, experience, track history, logic, and the guts to go against all odds for his people and country by speaking the truth.
Ron Paul is the cold drink of water this country has been waiting for.
Ron Paul made me realize that I'm conservative
it needs to be "Dr. Ronald Paul MD, senator"... not that cutsie nick name. ron paul. please, that will cost him the election. Phil scott
We need to return to Constitional rule rather than lobbyist rule.
Ron Paul Stands for Freedom and Liberty. He supports and follows the US Constitution, unlike every other person running. I am for a free, friendly and independent America. Ron Paul does not support the use nuclear weapons to prevent the use of nuclear weapons, like most others running have said they would do. I also feel it is important that we end the Federal Reserve, which has created every US dollar thru loans given at interest. They create the loaned dollars, but never create the interest dollars. This makes the loans impossible to ever repay. I do not agree with this system and neither does Ron Paul.
I'm voting for Ron Paul, because I believe what he says.He might vote no on mostly everything in Congress, look how America is now maybe other folks should have voted no on a lot of issues to.
War For Peace The price of peace grows ever higher for kidnaps, bombs and mortar fire, while torture, rape and execution bring headlines and retribution. First blood was paid. Now we debate. Still we cannot capitulate. Seal our fates and these petty hates by the lives that give their dreams to lies. Support the troops and not the war. If that is what a home is for. Though now we find that, more and more we scratch our heads and pace the floor, we know not what we’re fighting for; This war for peace - this peaceful war. This day, this week, this war is heading where no solution is presenting. Sunnis, Shiites kill each other families torn brother from brother. We deploy this year, another. Send our soldiers father and mother to Afghanistan, Iran?, Iraq, with vehicles both wheeled and track, expecting soon they’re coming back. When they do - we send again when Johnny comes marching home again. Chance Beyer US Army medic Baghdad, 2006 Check Point 1 – Haifa Street
I live in Florida, which has closed primaries. As a registered Libertarian I cannot vote in the Republican primary. My second choice for President will most likely be the LP candidate. As things stand now I will be voting for Ron Paul in the general election if he is the Republican nominee.
I support Ron Paul's policies!
RON PAUL 2008 or die.
Dennis Kucinich is my first second choice.
My "other" vote as a 1st choice is for Alan Keyes
Ron Paul is the only choice for the resurrection of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Ron Paul will save us all.
we want Truth, honesty, spend money at home instead of abroad, freedom of speech and right to bare arms, politcians who actually care and are not traitors
Need Smaller Government, Better Border Control, Smaller Military, Better Energy Policies and No Foreign Invasion.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who really supports America. Big government and the Big Bother movement: ie Home Land Security, IRS, Big Education, the phony drug war, out sourcing American business, NAFTA, open borders and spying on law abiding Americans, to name a few, has to stop NOW!!!! We have just gone through 28 years of Bush and Clinton if you count George Bush Sr's Vice-Presidency, and look where we are now. China owns most of our debt, the dollar is worth pennies, taxes are very high, gas had gotten very expensive, we are in a crazy war we cannot win and George Bush Jr. only cares about the oil companies and killing people in other countries to take their oil, and sticking the bill to pay for all of it on us little people to pay. The Ron Paul movement is real, and watch Dec 16th. when we little people cast our votes by sending our "pennies on the dollar" DOLLARS to Dr. Paul to put a stop to this Federal madness. I hope this helps you in your search for answers. Don't worry this will the only time I vote in your poll unless invited by e-mail link to do another one. Sincerely, Bill Moyer swpcbee@yahoo.com
I believe we need to vote for someone who has truth and conviction in them. Its not about being angry at the government. Its about change, positive change that I only truly see in Ron Paul. Unfortunately I can not support any other candidate other than Ron Paul. If he is not nominated I will feel like a hypocrite if I support anyone else. So I will simply not vote it is not for Dr. Ron Paul.
R3V0Lution!
i would vote for huckaby if ron paul is not elected
Ron Paul is the hope for America!
If a person has not heard Ron Paul speak, his beliefs, they might consider him a minimal candidate in the race. Once seen and heard, it becomes clear just how much the people have lost to big government. When speaking of less federal government, he should further explain the role of state and local agencies, the amounts of money that would be available to them for education, transportation, health care, etc. Take time to explain the time frame and transition of power from the status quo....that federal social services won't be eliminated the day he takes office. Sound bites and short responses fail to convey his intelligence and knowledge; hopefully he can afford longer ads with substance.
foul mouthed RP supporters! hehe lol
Ron Paul for president 2008! He is the only candidate that speaks for the people.
I never heard of Ron Paul until recently. At first I was overwhelmed by the similarity of the candidates and how none of them excited/appealed to me. Then came Ron Paul. Put it this way, I have never been so passionate about a presidential candidate before in my life.
Everyone's getting all bent out of shape about Ron Paul's online support. I personally have never seen anything like it, and I believe it's indicative of a sea-change in the way we do politics in the new millenium. Loose organization, lots of grassroots enthusiasm, and individuals stepping up with small donations as opposed to corporate or union money backing a candidate. NEVER could have happened without the internet. Bottom line, people want the government out of their wallet, out of their bedroom, out of their lives. We're also tired of the pandering. We know when people are blowing smoke. RP is the only one whose message has been consistent, even when he knows he'll get booed. It takes a real man to maintain like that.
RON PAUL or BUST!
I am a fiscal conservative with libertarian leanings. i have historically voted with Republican or Libertarian
Don't believe everything the media says or doesn't say. Google Ron Paul and find out for yourself! Go Ron Paul!
I was so happy to find a republican canidate who was against the war, and also stood for the small percentage of people in this country who actually read books. You can tell he's very well read on everything, therefore I trust his decisions a thousand times more than some of the other talking heads.
Ron Paul is honest and puts the interest of America first. Second if Dennis Kucinich.
I always register independent, but have lately been voting Democratic. My views lie in the middle of the two parties, focusing most on freedoms, i.e. voting against the candidate who seems bent on destroying the most of them... The imposed morals of the Christian right scare the hell out of me, but so does Hillary and those that would encumber us with a multitude of costly social programs like government provided health care.
I am concerned about the polling, but then again I doubt the validity of some of it, at least somewhat. We'll all have some information when the Iowa caucus and NH primaries take place. This will at least give us some method of comparing the polling statistics with the votes actually cast.
Though voting for Ron Paul may affect my income I'm confident I'll be paying significantly less in taxes.
Liberty.
Ron Paul is the best chance this country has to restore it's dignity, honor, and integrity. The money flow from corporations must go.
military members for ron paul
tired of the Republicans that are just lap-dogs to special interest.
The mass media totally distorts the good, honest candidates like Paul and Mike Gravel. They are all but for their chosen 6 "elites" that they love. When someone says they want otherwise - it tends to be a normal informed citizen - they criticize that person and their views. For instance, there have been multiple suggestions of supposedly "objective" news anchors that immediately respond to anyone saying they would vote for Ron Paul - "But, seriously, what TOP TIER candidate would you vote for? Ron Paul is not going to win the election." That is just pure biased reporting. Not to mention the fact that all the media companies would benefit financially from the election of a Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Romney, Rudy, and McCain.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for America
Ron Paul is our only hope.
I am glad to have someone running for office with good solid principles guided by the constitution. I don't care what party label a man has,I vote for who has the interest of this country and its people first on the list! I think Ron will make one of the finest leaders that the world has seen. Ron is seeking to serve this country, not take it for all he can get out of it,like most of the others. I fear that he will be shut out of the process, because this country don't want a good honest man, they would rather believe the lies and deception that is and will be used against him. The radical wrong,as I call them, hate Ron Paul. I hope that enough people will search out all of the candidates for themselves and not believe the media lies, and those who want to destroy others.
Ron Paul has the motivation and knowledge to fix America. Our country needs a president who is for the people, and true to the Original Constitution. Not everyone will agree with everything about Ron Paul, but he sure has a lot of good plans and beliefs that are better than the other current runners for president. RonPaulLibrary.org is a nice place to learn about Ron Paul, and I have studied all the current Presidential Candidates, and I still believe Ron Paul is the best choice for President. So many issues need to be resolved here in the United States of America. Our economy, our immigration policies, our Freedoms and Rights as Sovergn Citizens all need to be addressed, and returned back to normal, back to the following of the original constitution. Our country was the greatest country in the world, but it all changed when we went off course of the Constitution ways. Lets get our country back to being the greatest! Lets get our economy healthy, lets get our country out of debt, lets fix America, LETS VOTE FOR RON PAUL IN 2008! -NicK
Ron Paul is a candidate that you can actually VOTE FOR. In the past I've had to choose the lesser of two evils.
Ron Paul is the only politician that has given me hope for this country. He is certainly the only republican that favors saving the lives of soldiers in Iraq and has a plan to save the dollar from eventual collapse.
I hope Congressman Paul loses the GOP nomination, but only just barely. Then I hope he rallies together the independents, Libertarian Party, Constitution Party, Green Party, former Perot supporters and any other disaffected and disenfranchised would-be voter. Especially from among the 50% or more of the population who haven't even bothered to vote in the past few presidential elections. He is the only candidate I will bother voting for. Anyone else will just be the lesser of 12 evils.
Ron Paul is our only hope!
Restoration of smaller government and civil liberties are the reasons I will vote for Dr. Paul in the upcoming primary.
Ron Paul agrees with my views on many issues. 1: I am opposed to warrantless searches and arrests. For example, Maher Arar has been incorrectly labeled a terrorist, arrested, and tortured. The Constitution requires search warrants to avoid such injustices. 2: Important education decisions should be made at the local and state level, not the federal level. 3: A foetus is a human person with legal rights. Roe v. Wade was wrong. 4: We should stop manipulating other nations' governments. 5: We should have improve our relations with Cuba like we have with Vietnam. 6: Money should be based on precious metals to restrain inflation (and preserve the value in my savings accounts).
Freedom from the initiation of force.
What can i say ron paul speaks for people whos voice cant be heard
Ron Paul is the only choice for a strong America for the next generation.
If you continue to vote for the same type of politicians as we have for the last 40 years, how do expect anything to change? Ron Paul 2008!
Ron Paul is consistent with my beliefs and I have just sent in my voter registration so I can vote for him in the primaries. Ron Paul is a libertarian in most ways I think he has a sincere chance at office.
RonPaul2008.com
I would love to see Ron Paul do what he stands for and will vote for him if he wins the primary. If he loses gotta go democrat...hopefully Obama will win the democratic primaries so I have a back up! Would hate to see Clinton take the presidency.
Ron Paul ... is the only candidate with honor.
Freedom!
Ron Paul is the only guy talking about the most important issue of our time: monetary policy.
Constitution. We have lost our way. He is the most logical and honest leader among the group running for the GOP nomination.
I am permanently disabled and receive Social Security Disability along with disability from my previous employer. Although I am concerned about my SSA disability insurance being affected, I believe it is bankrupt already and what people are putting into it now is what I'll continue to receive. I have been putting into SSA for over 40 years myself and worry about my retirement. But not since this upcoming election have I ever been this interested in the outcome of it. I believe the current Administration is the worst I have ever seen and the most corrupt, and I believe also that most of government is corrupt. Including some of the current presidential candidates who are financed by big corporations and PACs and are not really interested in what the American people really want as Ron Paul does. We must put a stop to the war and cut back on big government. No other candidate, I believe, is capable or willing to do this.
There can be no doubt, Ron Paul is THE modern day Thomas Jefferson!!!
I love Ayn Rand.
The very idea of the State as a necessity in society is based on an illusion, a circular argument. The State causes all the problems it is supposed to resolve, thereby creating an artificial demand for more government. The effect of politics is simply: more politics.
Ron Paul represents real change in government. The federal government has too much influence in our daily lives. Ron Paul = real freedom.
I am ex-navy and work in high-tech business, in the 21-25 age range, and I support Ron Paul. It is rare for me to be even remotely empathetic towards politics. Ron Paul makes me care. The thought that my actions and words might actually encourage the US to elect him as our president motivates me to action, and I actively spread the word of Ron Paul through any means possible. I have never donated before, but I have donated now.
Ron Paul's policy is an attack on the root of what causes the majority of the problems with this country. All others only address the symptoms.
I refrained from giving my e-mail only because I'm tired of having to change it frequently due to "others" getting it and it getting spammed to the point of obsurdity (sp)
I don't agree with everything Ron Paul stands for. It's not about issues. It's about the general consitutional crisis caused by this administration, and the congress's that failed to keep them in check. I believe that he is the only person I know who could be elected president and be able to bring himself to give back power to congress and the court in order to protect the constitution and the system of checks and balances. It's his devotion to the constitution. His stance on issues is nearly irrelevant. I also believe that he would appoint supreme court justices who felt as he does about the constitution and the intentions of the founding fathers, which is what is needed at this point in our history.
Rn Paul represents the Constitution first and foremost then he represents America and Americans. No other candidate does that.Ron Paul is the most likely candidate to listen to the majority as called for in the Constitution, the other candidates vote the opinion of their Party first, their own interests second, big business third, special interest groups fourth and so on until last and least important, the views of the majority of Americans.Their voting records are destroying this country and what it once stood for, now its just as corrupt as Mexico only greedier for power and money.
I am sick and tired of big Gov and our hard earned tax dollars going to illegal aliens that should not be here to begin with. It's time we take care of our own here in this country for a change, I also like Ron Pauls idea of gettign rid of the eduaction system, get Gov out of our(PARENTS) buisnesses.Let the kids learn what they are going to need and not what the liberal minded people think they need to learn.
George Bush Sucks
Ron Paul is what is required to pull are country back from the brink of bankruptcy.
Ron Paul is the only Leader not sold out to special interests, who can bring the needed change back to our Government, has a solid history in Congress, and is Exactly the President we need in our country in this day and age.
pro-constitution, pro-freedom, pro-liberty.
Dr. Paul is the only candidate whom I can trust to serve America, respect the Constitution, and protect my inalienable Civil Rights.
It would appear there is only one candidate available with 30 years of consistency to show. That's all I am looking for in a politician. A little consistency.
I AM A MEDICALLY RETIRED IRAQI VET. I WILL ONLY VOTE FOR RON PAUL. HE IS THE ONLY HOPE I SEE.
I would like to have a president who would do as little damage as possible over the next four to eight years. As a bonus, it would be nice to have a few things fixed, ie economy, foreign wars, etc. There is only one candidate who can realistically achieve this. His name is Ron Paul.
I have always be a die hard democrat- but I after reading what Ron Paul stands for, I have changed my mind. I am switching parties to be able to vote for Ron Paul in the Republic Primary
I have voted my conscience for 35 years, and my candidate has never been elected President. Ron Paul is the first candidate that I can thoroughly get behind, the only candidate that I have ever given a donation to, and is not "the lesser of two evils" so to speak. Ron Paul is the only choice!
ron paul has broad appeal and is the only candidate who can bring the country together.
For the first time in recent history, I believe that we have an opportunity to support a true statesman for President who actually takes his oath of office seriously “to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Perhaps above all else, he is a Christian of unquestionable integrity who has proven over the past 40 years, in and out of public service, that he can be trusted to do what is in the best interest of American citizens. I honestly believe that he has the rare combination of honesty, courage, intelligence, humility, and dedication, which we, as a nation, so desperately need in a President.
Honestly i voted for George W Bush twice and only because the democrats looked like they wanted to spend more like they always do. 8 years later the military spending is out of control and needs to stop ASAP, 1 trillion a year for what...oh wait funding Blackwater mercenaries. I am a conservative republican that wants its old government back, the government that doesn't tap my phone and arrest me for asking tough questions. Ron Paul is for everything i think this country needs at this pivotal time in history. Another Rome or will we save ourselves and protect the paper our founding fathers gave us to keep our republic. I also think Rudy G is the biggest crook in politics, if my party chooses him i will leave the party and be forced to vote democrat unless Ron Paul runs Independently.
Ron Paul is the choice of the people in the united states. Media is owned and oporated by international corporations and is an enemy of the people of the United States.
Elect Ron Paul 2008
I have been Libertarian since 1988. I have voted consistantly Libertarian all this time. I have joined The Free State Project and own a house in New Hampshire. Now I am Republican and completely behind Ron Paul 100%. I have been waiting for this moment since 1988.
I do not consent to be property of the State. Vote Ron Paul !
He's the only candidate that's ever modivated me to vote, even though I was old enough last election.
Ron Paul- the only candidate against the New World Order
I'm a libertarian
Ron Paul is the only true candidate of the people.
I'm mad as hell and I ain't gonna take it no more! It's either vote at the polls or vote from the rooftops. Stand ready to step into the very same muddy, bloody boots of the patriots before us. There is not a whit of difference between the other candidates; they all want our money and freedom, just using different excuses, wearing the same phony smiles.
I may not agree with everything Ron Paul says but I think he's the man that will stand for freedom, for liberty, and for America. Can't say the same about the rest.
I'm a Libertarian who has voted for Paul before. I will registering as a Republican to help him in his efforts
the ron paul message is the ONLY political philosophy that has EVER made sense to me. i'm happy to be excited about the possibilities.
www.ronpaulforpresident2008.com
Ron paul: the only guy better than Obama.
I support ron paul and will vote for him in the iowa caucus.
Ron Paul would support doing away with the IRS which would eliminate earned income, however, just imagine if the Federal Reserve didn't just benefit a few, and allow a few to control all the cooperations. Who would need earned income!!!!!
Most of us Ron Paul supporters want to see change. That's what Ron Paul signifies to me, someone who is willing to make those changes.
Forced Socialism fails and is fundamentally evil. Freedom is fundamentally good. Ron Paul is the only internally consistent candidate. H'e our last chance, although I am open to his adopting a bit more "kick butt" attitude toward anyone who threatens our freedoms (here AND abroad).
The foudation of our Constitution has been shaken and in my opinion, Ron Paul is the ONLY one running for President that recognizes this. I am 58 years old, so if you think Ron Paul only attracts young people, you are wrong. There is a growing number of us older people that can still remember what Freedom looked like. We only want the Liberties given to us in OUR Constitution. No more, no less.
I believe in fighting the Patriot Act... personal liberty... Freedom of ME, And a limited Government that wont try to take the world over and make them become a "democracy" against their own will. RON PAUL 2008
Ron Paul for Independent president!
Rob Paul is clearly a man with integrity that wants what is best for the US by getting the country back in line with what the founders of this country intended and what made it great. I have never felt so hopeful for the future of our nation.
Ron Paul is the first candidate that I've seen that approaches our national problems with logic and common sense. Simple, to the point and sensible. Thats enough for me. I work freelance in the film industry and income taxes eat me alive. I would be very happy to see more of that money in my pocket.
Leaning to support John Edwards, but hope Ron Paul can win the nomination and save the Republican party. Considering a donation to Paul's campaign to spite the intentional media bias against him, as well as to encourage his message of defending the constitution and rule of law.
Ron Paul is the only sane candidate out of both political parties.
God save our country.
America, For the People, Of the People, By the People!! Please Vote for Ron Paul!!
Freedom.
WIth the cost of living increasing the dollar decreasing we need a new outlook on our economy. No other canidate can honestly answer EVERY question as Ron Paul does. You can see it in their eyes and hear it in their tone.
Ron paul is the only choice for me.If he doesnt get the nomination, or run as an Independant, i will not vote.
Ron Paul is a true American.
I voted for GW in 2000, by 2001 I was sorry I did. In 2004, unexcited by the offered candidates, I didn't vote for President, although I did cast a vote in the other federal/state/local elections in that cycle. After 2004 I swore that I would never vote in the Presidential election again, because I was tired of playing that "lesser of two evils" game. When I heard of Dr. Paul's exploratory committee back in the spring, I couldn't help but be excited. I had long read congress transcripts, and was familiar with Dr. Paul's diligent fight to uphold the Constitution, and adhere to his oath of office with integrity. I quickly became of of those "internet supporters", telling anyone and everyone about Dr. Paul. While I do not agree with him on every issue, I respect the fact that he doesn't hide what he believes behind carefully crafted double-speak. I would rather vote for an honest person who I disagree with, than for someone who changes their "opinion" based upon what will garner them the most polling points.
ron paul has cured my apathy. I used to be a govn't consultant, and his presidency would have had a decided negative impage on my income. i saw enough waste and corruption to know that it would have been the right thing for our country. really, govn't isn't very good at anything, and govn't should only do what is absolutely MUST.
1. Defends The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, and is eternally vigilant against attempts to deconstruct and undermine these documents. 2. Voted against the war in Iraq and The Patriot Act. 3. Promises to end the war in Iraq IMMEDIATELY and begin an organized return home for our troops. 4. Has a long track-record showing that he can not be bought by lobbyists (Proven Integrity). 5. Puts the restoration of civil liberties and rule of law as paramount. Haven't we had enough of the Neo-cons. We need classic conservatism, not Neo (spin) Conservatives.
it is time to cut the size of the govt spending.... he seems to be the only one that understands this and has a record of doing it. it is easy to see where he will stand on most issues even the ones that he doesn't agree with. i only have a problem with the f policy issues. but i am willing to overlook these issues if the size and scope of govt shrinks. the nanny state helps no one but elected politicians who get to dole out my money to who ever promises the most support to their next elections.
Ron Paul represents a constitution based leadership with minimal government overhead. I believe his interests are focused on the people and not the government, position, or power.
Both the Dems and the Rep supported the patriot act, the war, deficit spending, wire taps, and federalism: Obama and Paul are most outside this bi-party loop.
RON PAUL WILL WIN!!!!
Dennis Kucinich is the candidate who's against war and progressive. Both he and Paul are strong on Truth and the Constitution.
Ron Paul is the only cadidate that speaks truth to power. He is opposed to the New World Order, and will protect the U.S. Constitution and inalienable rights. The other candidates are all supporting the establishment, and servents of the New World Order.
8 plus trillion in debt, the weak dollar, trade debt, cost of living... this speaks for itself...its not getting any better... Ron Paul has hit the nail on the head and he is the only one that wants to address this problem. The U. S. government is out of control.
Ron Paul is for all of the people of the USA.
When you hear Dr. Paul speak you feel alive again with hope for America. His record serves him ample credibility together with his powerful leadership such that the masses see him as the unmatched candidate for the presidency.
ron paul all the way to freedom
Ron Paul is going to win if we have to die trying...
I seek truth and he's the only tuthful candidate.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that I will vote for, even if I have to write him in. He is a truth teller, he talks the talk, he walks the walk, and he truly loves America and the American people. Ron will restore our broken constitution.
There's only one honest man amongst the lot of those scurvy bought and paid for neo-con traitors: RON PAUL!!!
I am current in the independant party, but plan on switching to republican just to vote for Ron Paul.
Ron Paul for the win.
Ron Paul is the real deal. Take time to vote in your primary!
I will vote for Ron Paul for numerous reasons. For one, he is genuine and has stuck to his principles since he first got into politics. I could go on and on about his voting record and morals. What I like about him most is he is not afraid to expose the corruption in Washington and he is sending a wake up call to the American people that we are very close to becoming a total police state and our liberty as we know is being attacked at the hands of these career politicians such as the Clinton's and Bush's. Above all he is the most transparent and honest candidate. He doesn't engage in political attacks. He is true to his word and returning this country to it's constitutional boundries is my number one concern!
Since turning 18 years of age (and voting Nixon in '72), I have voted Republican in every Presidential election (with the sole exception of Perot) up until G.W. Bush ran (who’s weak credentials were readily apparent to me). This time around I strongly support Ron Paul for two reasons: 1. He is the only candidate who recognizes our current foreign policy is acutely detrimental to our national interests, and is prepared to correct it. 2. I believe he is the only candidate capable of paring down our severely bloated Federal government. Seeing Ron Paul in the Whitehouse would, to me, be a huge step forward in mending this countries reputation as a just world leader, as well as restoring personal freedoms guaranteed our citizens by our Constitution; especially considering that unlike the current crop of candidates, Ron Paul’s choices during his tenor in public service have been unswervingly consistent. The only shame of it is that so many Americans (especially those in the media) seem to have closed their minds to the content of Paul’s messages.
I believe the socially liberal and economically conservative views of Ron Paul are attractive to many individuals, as are his views on foreign policy.
Ron Paul has written 10 books economics. HE will adhere to the american constitution. He will bring are boys home! HE will give americans back their currency, enforce are laws including are border laws, stop government earmarking, abolish the federal reserve,i.r.s. and any other unlawful acts. HE will give americans back their freedom!!
go ron paul!
1: my second choice for president is KUCINICH-why not listed? 2: my party registration is INDEPENDENT-why not listed? 3: as an independent, i am NOT ALLOWED to vote primarys in the state of maryland!
Ron Paul will restore the founders vision of this great nation!!
ron paul is the only truthful candidate
The man does not respond in polictal speak.
Simply put, I'm not a huge Ron Paul supporter but I happen to catch him on Bill Maher's show and liked what finally seems to be some truthful talk about America's current situation and status at home and abroad. While a majority of the other candidates seem to be saying the same things about health care, the Iraq war, or what have you Ron Paul is saying something unique, something that resonates within me as being not only a logical, but an effective approach to government as well.
Ron Paul for a new direction!
Google Ron Paul! :)
Ron Paul seems to be the only elected official trying to acually do anything about our failing government. He has my vote. I am currently doing small scale campaigning for Ron Paul. To my great surprise none of the teachers at my school knew anything about him. So I showed them your website and most of them are now very interested in voting for you. Just get your name and your stand on important issues out there and you will win this country by a landslide.
There are candidates that come closer to my personal views, but none who would strive to return our country to following the constitution -- and that is more important.
Ron Paul 2008! The most important presidential candidate in our history as a nation...
Ron Paul is the only candidate who doesn't seem to be completely full of shit, and his congressional voting record (spanning 30+ years and 10 terms, mind you) is proof. He appears to be untouched by large special interest groups (*cough* lobbyists *cough*) and wants to shrink the central government. I can not find the problem in letting States have most of the power. It's the way the nation's founders wanted it to remain, and we have strayed from their grand mission. Ron Paul in 2008, or we can kiss our civil rights and economic freedom goodbye..
Ron Paul is the Thomas Jefferson of our day. Only Ron Paul will restore the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and empower the people.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who makes sense when he speaks.
Dr. Paul is the only honest choice that can win !!!
I have been a Libertarian party member and even a party official until recent years when I gave up on politics. I changed my registration just so I could vote for Paul in the primaries. I won't even bother to vote in the presidential election if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination.
I am crazy. Hence the obvious choice is Ron "CRAZY RON" Paul.
I will vote for Ron Paul on election day. That is a fact.
There is only one candidate who believes in traditional American values, supports the Constitution, and will bring our men home from Iraq and correct the problems with our monetary debacle. He will get the economy going in the right direction and downsize government. That is Ron Paul.
It is my belief that the United States of America will disintegrate into several regional confederations of States unless the national debt and systemic monetary problems are dealt with in a substantive manner. A hyper-inflationary economic collapse coupled with an extreme deflationary credit restriction due to cascading debt crisis' resultant from the sub-prime mortgage meltdown via way of derivative investment bonds based on bundles of high risk mortgage loans seems highly likely. Especially if such speculative bonds have been used a collateral for the commercial real estate boom paralleling the proliferation of ARM mortgages sold to non-credit worthy borrowers. Credit crunch = less consumer spending = slow pays on commercial loans = forfeit of bogus collateral = yet ever increasing big bank losses = cries for Uncle Sam to bail out big banks = way more money created out of nothing = foreign central banks sucking up excess dollars till they are completely stuffed = dawning realization that USA's economy is doomed = rush for exit from dollar based assets = crash = stay away from tall buildings housing financial companies and investment brokerages.
VOTE RON PAUL 2008!
Ron Paul is the only candidate who is talking about monetary policy!
I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies - foreign and domestic. My government has become my domestic enemy. Too many laws that violate my constitutional rights have been passed and it is time to clean up the mess for future generations. The constitution and the 1st 10 ammendments cannot be repealled for any reason. No income tax and an established gold standard were established within the main body of the constitution, yet the gold standard was illegally abolished and income tax which is forbidden within the constitution is imposed on the citizens of my country. Ron Paul is the only candidate which addresses these fundamental problems and offers hope to restore constitutional law. Everything else (medicare, wellfare, foreign policy, etc.) is unimportant by comparison.
Ron Paul is one of the straightest shooters I've seen run for president in a long time. While I disagree with some of his positions ie. immediate withdrawal from Iraq, dissolution of the IRS, return of the gold standard, among others I've heard, I appreciate his honesty and aptitude. I am in a career track in biomedical science which benefits greatly from NIH and big government spending, but issues top economics for me, always have, always will. I'm registered Independent but will be changing registration to Republican to vote in the primary for RP.
I just want someone who's willing to talk straight and address issues head on. I don't give a crap what party a candidate belongs to, as long as they truly have the country's interests ahead of his/her own.
I am changing parties to vote for Ron Paul.
I believe in what America was founded on, not what it has become. I agree with Ron Paul on nearly every issue, though I differ with his personal stance on abortion. However, his intention is simply to remove the federal government's unlawful interference and allow the states to decide the question themselves. As it should be! We don't need big brother looking over our shoulders telling us what is right.
Research Ron Paul. Google Video or YouTube: "Ron Paul" Support Ron Paul with donations and spread Ron Paul's message of freedom to everyone you know.
I'm a 50 year-old first-time voter. RP is the only politician I've ever trusted. As a Christian, I believe God places all rulers in office. I believe this is a wake-up call for Americans;if we sleep through this election, we WILL wake up to find the ship of state about to go over the Niagara. The book of Jonah(the theme is about national repentance, not just a miracle of survival in a whale!) records a nation that DID wake up, who repented and was given a new lease on life. Ron Paul is this nation's new lease on life. Along with Leo Wanta's trillions, hydrogen-oxygen for our fuel and a return to founding principles in government, we might earn a reprieve from the inevitable doom facing us if things continue to go downhill in this country...We need to pray, fast and turn to God with our whole hearts, and, maybe, maybe, God will lead us to true freedom.
Ron Paul is the only candidate of character.
The only candidate in this election who shows his understanding of and support for the Constitution is Ron Paul. Either the Constitution means what it says or it is useless. Ignoring the Constitution won't make it go away. It will merely bring our nation further from the rights of citizens and closer to the capricious power of government.
Ronald Reagan called the libertarian philosophy of limited government "the heart and soul of the Republican Party" -- but Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican to make that the centerpiece of his campaign. In fact, most of the other candidates have records that confirm their support of ever-growing government. Ron Paul has the potential of re-invigorating the same coalitions and constituencies that put Ronald Reagan in the White House.
I am A MoRon! Crazy for that man! Neo-Cons Must die!
It is high time to get real about this country. Go Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is curing Americans' apathy; this is why he'll win.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that truly understands the Constitution and its importance for a strong, healthy Republic.
Ron Paul Rocks!
I have always voted. The last several years I have voted Republican and been very disappointed in the results. I don't agree with Dr. Paul on every single item but I know his character after observing him in Congress for many years. He appears to be wise, honorable and sensible. I'll take that at this point in time.
Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate who is addressing the main issues: The one world government who is gradually taking control of our lives which includes the IRS, the FDA, the force vaccinations, the proposed mental screening of all americans, the coming up of federal ID card, which will be followed by the gradual insertion of the microship in people's body "for their own safety" .Basically if Ron paul doesn't win it looks like we are doomed to the one world order. Whether Hillary or Giuliani are elected we are still doomed to the same fate with just some trivial variations.
Thanks for having your poll
I support Ron Paul. Our current governmental system is broken. We need real change and we need it fast. Ron Paul talks about following our constitution more then any candadite and he has the record to prove it. Ron Paul is gaining support exponentially everyday and he does have a chance to win.
I support Ron Paul becaue he is the first candidate that -- for the most part -- follows the principals that I have believed in since I began to become interested in politics and Constitutional principals duing law school (circa 2000). It's amazing that his 1988 platform is nearly identical to his current platform, which goes to show that his position on issues are principal-based, and not politcal pandering.
I have a brain, that's why I'm voting for him. Regarding my donation amount, I'm a poor college kid, I give what I can.
Ron Paul is the ONLY non-CFR member running for the republican party nomination
The one presidential primary I voted in during the past 20 years was the newly ballot-qualified Libertarian Party's primary in New Hampshire in 1992. That party lost ballot status and has not regained it since, nor is it even possible to be a registered Libertarian Party voter in New Hampshire, so I am an unaffiliated voter. There is no other candidate I would like to see become president.
I'm am a traditional conservative, leaning republican on matters of government size and fiscal restraint, and democrat on matters of civil and social liberties. I am not an extremist in any sense, unless thinking that the government should be more limited than it is is extreme. What is extreme is the fact that the status quo and current direction of the country has come to be regarded as reasonable. No one except Ron Paul, even the main democratic candidates, has vowed to take the troups out immediately, despite the fact that 70 percent of the country opposes it. No one makes an issue of the 9 trillion dollar - and growing - national debt. No one else finds the severe curtailment of civil liberties represented by the Patriot and Military Tribunal Act (proper name?) and the prospect of a National ID card disturbing enough to object to. This just serves as evidence that the two major parties are effective one, and that Ron Paul is the only plausible candidate with integrity and independence of mind.
I'm very tired of the status quo. All the current politicians seem to only look for power and money. Government should only do for people what people can not do for themselves. In short I'm tired of politicians buying their elections by giving others my hard earned money. Ron Paul seems to me to be genuine, he doesn't even participate in the ridiculous congressional retirement plan where they receive their pay for life. He has a real interest in doing what needs to be done for America not for his personal benefit. Sure he's going to have a hard time competing with politicians that buy votes by offering people a free ride, but I believe there are a lot of people who are just as tired as I am and will get out and vote instead of staying home to overcome this.
My income would be very seriously impacted by the cuts in big government that Ron Paul wants to make. However, I will vote for him because I believe that he can start moving this country in the direction that it should be going. My vote will be for our children and our children's children. People have just grown too accustomed to depending on this ridiculously huge government. We need a leader that wants the United States of America to be what it was meant to be and not be owned by special interest and corporate America-someone who believes in 'WE THE PEOPLE'....
Clearly Ron Paul is the only candidate addressing current domestic issues. All of the other candidates focus on Iraq or homeland security. These issues are not what the middle class voter wants.
Ron Paul is the man!
Ron Paul is the only candidate who will end the war and shake the washington scene up. He is unique because he speaks about ideas and solutions not in it catchy slogans and broad themes like hope and change. Obama speaks of change and may be well intentioned but his idea of change is growing and perpetuating the bureaucratic machine that is American Government. Ron Paul is the only candidate that I can believe in. we are all equal rich, poor, black, white, man woman, gay, straight. Ron Paul is the only candidate who speaks of the individual not a section of the population and I believe this is the only way to unite and succeed as a country.
I would like to see the reputaion of this country restored and a posibility of fiscal responsibility. Sacrefises must be made now for the long term health of this country and its people. Bombs are not good for the children. When our goverment kills what message is sent to our children and the rest of the world. We are not helping. The scaryest country with nuclear wepons is our own. "Droping bombs for peace is like fucking for verginity"
Ron understands what is hapenning to our standard of living and will do the best of all candidates to preserve it.
THE WAR-MONGER NEOCONS WILL BE BOOTED ENTIRELY OUT OF US GOVERNMENT.
Mr Paul is not a poltician, but a servant of the people he represents and this is the tye of man we need in the White House. He would not be giving into the big corps and would not be allowing the fed to print as much money as they want to. He would do away with the Feds collection bag boys, the IRS and put the money back on the gold standard. He would make sure the drug lobbyists would leave DC and put the FDA under a provisionary get it right or be dismantled program to get rid of the corruption. He will also need to wear full body armor as many attempts will be made on his life. In general, should he win he will turn the country back into the republic it once was. It will be painful for a few years for those used to living on the dole, but they will regain their self respect and become productive people once again including General Electric and all the defense contractors who make billions from our senseless, evil run wars. I will be relieved when Bush and his phony baloney war mongering cronies sail off the edge of the world and meet their maker. What a war criminal our president has become
Ron Paul!!!!!!!!!
This site has it all wrong. It's the far left and far right who ostensibly control their parties, that are terrified of Ron Paul. To those of us who want simple, honest government based on constitutional principles, he seems quite reasonable. It's the fact that a candidate like Ron Paul can pull so many votes from both parties that compels them to smear him through false association or dismissing him as a lunatic. Political operatives in both parties, as well as the mainstream media, rarely honestly try to address his political platform, which is quite appetizing to mainstream America. Stop being the world police. Stop inflating the dollar to the point of worthlessness. Stop the flow of millions of illegals across our borders. Stop overtaxing the public. Uphold the freedoms guaranteed to us in the Constitution. It's really pretty simple. There is nothing extreme about it.
Ron Paul is the best presidential choice by far. Fred Thompson is the only other candidate who even claims to hold the Constitution as the law of the land and Ron Paul is the only one who walks like he talks.
I was Democrat since I research more of Ron Paul, He is a true Republican and I changed my party to Republican in order to vote RON PAUL as priminary. America needs to change a new stage, new system, and freedom. A true Republican. VOTE RON PAUL ~ Hope for America ~ President for 2008!
I am against the Iraq War, I hate taxes, I want the government out of my life
Ron Paul has a consistent voting record, is extremely well-read, and is not a partisan game-player. I had almost given up hope there were any left.
I'm voting for the freedom to live my life as I choose. By re-establishing sound money, eliminating the income tax, and bringing our boys home; Ron Paul would roll back our Federal Govt's encroachment on that liberty. Eliminate those things and you drastically reduce inflation over time, allow individuals to use the fruits of their labor as they choose, and remove the cause of resentment and hate for the U.S. from the world. Those who argue against Ron Paul and the ideas he champions argues agains my liberty and yours. jd
Ron Paul is the only candidate that has ideas that will move America toward a better future.
ron paul will preserve the us constitution.
ron paul support is real. get over it.
I have never participated in an online poll before. I am strongley supporting Ron Paul.
I support Paul because he's the only main candidate that is truly pro constitution. The job of president requires faithfulness to the constitution and since Paul has the best record in that area he is the most qualified to be president.
I'm voting for the straight talker that actually answers the questions. No one else lays out plans, they talk of "change", "stay the course garbage", "work together to solve this problem", etc. Dr Paul gives us solutions and spells them out. Ron Paul 2008 !!!
If it's true that Ron Paul's support is really from Spam, then at least we could use that spam to feed the hungry. Better than cheese, no?
ron paul is the only man for the job!
My stance on what?
I have had it with the republicats and democans Ron Paul is the only choice for real change
I left the republican party because GW has continued to grow the Federal government. Ron Paul gives me hope that we could see the old Republican party back. The one that used to believe in small government. I would love to see an end to the IRS, the Dept of Homeland security, the Dept of Education, and what ever else he wants to dismantle. It would be nice to have a return to liberty, which made this country strong in the first place.
I have never voted in Repubiclan Primary and have never voted for a Republican in any general election.
Ron Paul is the only candidate with a consistent message and a vision for the future. The biggest issue effecting our country and the world today is our fiat currency system that is about to fail. He is the only candidate even talking about this. All the others appear to be clueless and are therefore unqualified.
My first choice is Dennis Kucinich, then Gravel and Paul. I registered Repub to vote for Paul since I think he has the best chance of them.
STOP THE WAR RON PAUL IS THE ONLY HOPE FOR AMERICA, INDEED THE WORLD.
Ron Paul is the first candidate, in my lifetime, whom I believe to be a potential benefit to this country and my countrymen. Since Woodrow Wilson, only JFK had the nerve to stand up to the establishment. JFK, like Ron Paul, believed that our currency should be backed by something more concrete than paper. JFK initiated the printing of US currency backed by silver and began to phase our the federal reserve, only six months before his very tragic and untimely death. Ron Paul is another JFK; a more experienced and cautious JFK. To NOT vote for Ron Paul is, to me, analogous to NOT wanting Nixon impeached after Watergate. This establishment, a system of one party, made of a few factions is a fiat party system—furthermore, the absence of the checks and balances provided by a true multi-party system have allowed for the erosion of American freedom and allowed the flourishing of corruption and an extremely over bloated bureaucracy. SAY NO TO AUTHORITIARIANISM and SAY YES TO RON PAUL
Ron Paul is Americas last hope.
Liberty is Popular
The last time I voted it was for the Libertarian candidate, Ed Clark in 1980. I lost faith in the American political machine and haven't voted since as I don't believe in voting for somebody just because I don't like the other guy. Ron Paul is the first candidate in 27 years to spark my enthusiasm. I am voting in the Washington State primary in February and if he makes it on the ticket I will vote for him in November. But if this is going to happen we have to get his name, face and message to the vast majority of voters who don't know who he is. It's time we started canvassing. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Call up your old school mates that you haven't spoken to in 20 years and tell them all about this guy. Point them at Google and You Tube. Educate them or we are in for one very rough ride.
There are so many reasons I am voting for Ron Paul, I don't have time right now to list them all. All the reasons boil down to personal liberty. As a advocate and activist for home birth, home schooling, local food, direct farm-to-consumer sales, raw milk consumption, wholistic healing therapies, and traditional, nourishing foods, Ron Paul speaks to recinding the federal roadblocks that take away the rights we should have to live, trade, heal, and even just eat the way we want to. I continue to cut the strings that have made me a puppet of the government for way too long, and others are starting to wake up, too. Feedom IS popular, and Dr. Paul is starting to treat and even cure a lot of people's apathy, like he has mine.
I've been a Republican since growing up, and have always been interested in politics, yet I've never voted in primaries, and never even considered donating before--but I will, for Ron Paul.
Once before in my life (55 yrs) I voted for a candidate I truly liked and wished to see in office, rather than voting for a 'lesser badness' candidate. It felt good; I still remember how good it felt. I want to do that again, so I'll vote for Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that I have heard that really makes sense. We have way too much waste in government, and way too much government in our lives. People that depend on the government are truly not free people. When we are self sufficient then we are free. Ron Paul supports the Constitution not "interpretations" of it. When our country realizes how far away from the Constitution we have become there will be a revolution. Ron Paul is the only candidate talking about ways to really help the people and he is waking up those that have become apathetic. We are ready for change. Both sides of the aisle will unite!
I will be supporting Ron Paul in 2008.
I like his message of change. I don't agree with all of his points, however I appreciate Ron Paul being upfront and blunt on most topics.
I vote for my pocket book. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will reduce spending and taxes. I am not a fan of all of Dr. Paul's ideas. For example, I am skeptical of his Iraq policy. The only positive effect of pulling out of Iraq immediately is saving billions of dollars. That said, I support his overall foreign policy of nonintervention. Dr. Paul is the only candidate truly focused on nonintervention. Also, Dr. Paul is for freedom. He is the only candidate who will not strip the American people of their rights and liberties. There are so many other reasons I will vote for Ron Paul, I can not go into it fully here.
I've never voted before. I have never seen any candidate in my lifetime that has ever focused on the biggest most destructive force that the founding fathers themselves were trying to escape from: The central banking system of debt. Only Ron Paul is interested in freeing ourselves from this fraud, as well as the income tax they use to enslave us. Ron Paul will try to piece what's left of the constitution back together.
Ron Paul is for the people
Dr Paul is the 1st serious candidate who actually takes a real stand that real people support. D's and R's argue meaninglessly back and forth: "We need to save Social Security!" "No, we don't - we need to take steps now to ensure Social Security is there for us in the future!" "I disagree, that would be irresponsible, rather than give it to the richest one percent, we need to save it NOW!" No other politician even utters the word 'Constitution' anymore because it would be like a pedophile saying 'cute kid'. Ron Paul takes his obligation to hold government to its boundaries seriously. He is even called "Dr No" for his refusal to support bills in Congress that don't have a Constitutional basis for their existence. America needs a real freedom supporter like Ron Paul like fish need water.
Dr. Ron Paul just lines up with me on nearly every issue. I never would have thought I could be considered a republican, but I guess that's because I've never seen a real republican before. My only problem with Paul is his soft stance on our environment, but I feel he would be more willing to negotiate on those issues with congress and other nations than our current administration.
democratic for Ron Paul
I voted for Bush twice thinking I was voting "for the lesser of two evils" or "that a third party vote would be throwing it away". It will not be that way again. The only vote thrown away is the vote cast for a candidate you don't believe in, I wholeheartedly believe in Ron Paul!
Ron Paul is the only choice for President.
I have traditionally voted republican, but after the chaos of bush's reign, i was intending to vote democrat or 3rd party. suddenly, there appears this ron paul guy, and he seems to be just what i'm looking for. i have never seen a presidential candidate that got my heart pounding as i listened to him speak. he's what we need right now.
I would like for the United States to return to a balanced budget and avoid bankruptcy.
I believe in the Constitution. I believe that "We the people" should mean EVERY American. I believe that the new translation of being American has strayed far off course from what it was intended. I believe in freedom and peace. And most of all I believe that I would be proud to say I'm American again with Ron Paul as President.
Ron Paul will do something about the decline of our dollar. No other candidate is talking about this.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that has consistently stood by his beliefs and he is the only candidate that I trust. I firmly believe that he is the last great hope for our country.
I have always believed in the democratic process. But until recently there has never been a better chance for this process to work without the contamination of special interest groups dominating the outcome. The internet will be the equalizer this time around. Ron Paul speaks the truth and the whole country will recognize that it is time we elect an honest President dedicated to uphold the constitution. Our liberties have been compromised by an administration that serves the elite and mega corporations. We the people must never forget how privileged we are to live in a county where the constitution affords us such freedom. Help elect Ron Paul so we can preserve that precious right.
Dr. Paul is the only valid candidate running for election and who has the ability, courage and strength to run our country.
Ron Paul presents a real choice for America. He may not be able to do all he says he wants to but we would have the right man in office, nonetheless.
Ron Paul is the only honest candidate running and the only one who is not a part of the "one-party" system. Democrat or Republican, the rest are in lockstep on the war (status quo + Iran), the economy (keep inflating the dollar and stave off financial reckoning as long as possible), civil rights (you have none), etc. Ron Paul is the only candidate who believes in, much less understands the Consitution and has respect for it. King George believes it to simply be "a goddamned piece of paper." Ron Paul is the last hope for America. If we can't elect him this time and fix the mess this country is in, there is no hope and we all may as well leave the country, as it is going down fast and hard.
Ron Paul is the best choice!
I have been a registered Democrat since 1988. I never thought I would change. I am changing to Republican just so I can vote in my state primary for Dr. Paul. I hope it will make a difference.
Ron Paul is the only person I have confidence in to uphold the constitution of the United States. His voting record in congress is the only evidence I need. Our country needs a sound monetary system and a humble foriegn policie. Ron Paul for president!!!
I am Old School republican.
Ron Paul is the one and only choice for America!
Ron Paul is the best candidate not because he wants to illuminate the IRS or big government. It's because he is the least likely to provoke World War III. People need to think about the future decades down the road. Not just American i
